Project Management – Seat Receival System for Mitsubishi Motors - Tonsley Park

This project commenced in November 2004, and was to design manufacture and install a transportation system for transporting front & rear seats for the new 380 model Magna from the loading dock area to the production line. This was achieved using several vertical lifters and pushers, combined with over 100 metres of conveying equipment. Large Walkways each weighing over 300 kg, had to be designed and suspended from roof trusses, within the facility to support the conveyor system and provide access for maintenance personnel. Artec Engineering undertook all electrical work including PLC programming.

Electrolux manufacture washing machines from it's Beverly manufacturing facility. Electrolux had two individual machines that were bowl specific and performed various operations. The introduction of a third bowl size complicated the operational capabilities and efficiencies of the existing equipment. Artec Engineering designed and manufactured a PLC controlled machining centre, which allowed all operations to be performed on three different bowl sizes. This improved the efficiency operations dramatically

Reverse engineering – Kimberly Clark Australia - Lonsdale

Kimberly Clarke Australia manufacture disposable diapers from it's manufacturing plant south of Adelaide . Much of the machinery is imported from Japan , Italy , Germany , Canada and the US . Spare parts are reversed engineered by Artec Engineering to enable quick response times. 24 hour coverage is also provided for breakdown maintenance to the machinery.

The manufacture and assembly of a rotary table used for machining fibreglass stubs and flanges, complete with danfoss drive and PLC.
